Doctoral Programme Association Gathering Held at UNY Graduate School

23/09/2022 - Strengthening partnerships among similar study programmes is one of the key drivers for improving academic quality. By building stronger networks, institutions can exchange information and collaborate in various fields. In line with the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) stated in the university statute, study programme associations play a crucial role in facilitating and stimulating such synergy between programme providers.

These collaborations focus on several areas, including curriculum enhancement, community empowerment initiatives, and research quality improvement. Recognising the importance of these efforts, the Doctoral Programme in Educational Sciences at the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) took the initiative to host a national gathering of the association in 2022. This year, UNY had the honour of welcoming representatives from 14 doctoral programmes in education from across Indonesia.

The gathering served as a preparatory step towards the National Association Meeting of Doctoral Programmes in Educational Sciences (PPSDP). Beyond preparation, it aimed to broaden perspectives, strengthen professional unity, and contribute to the development of the field. Through this forum, the organisers hoped to build lasting collaborative networks and partnerships with other universities, paving the way for the growth and advancement of doctoral programmes in education.
