The Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences, Graduate School of Yogyakarta State University (UNY), held Webinar Series #5 on Saturday, October 18, 2025, carrying the theme “Optimizing AI in Writing National and International Scientific Articles: From Idea to Publish.”

The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO, and recorded 276 registrants, consisting of lecturers, researchers, journal managers, and students from various universities.

Two keynote speakers were featured in the session.
Prof. Dr. Sulis Triyono, M.Pd. discussed the responsible use of artificial intelligence to strengthen research ideas, map relevant literature, refine academic language, and organize arguments for a more focused and logical manuscript. Prof. Sulis also shared practical techniques for crafting effective prompts in article writing, such as clearly stating the research purpose from the start, providing specific context and keywords, indicating journal style requirements, and requesting structured outputs (title–abstract–IMRaD outline) to ensure that AI-generated results are relevant and easy to edit.

Meanwhile, Yuyun Sri Wahyuni, M.A., Ph.D. highlighted strategies for successful publication in accredited national journals and reputable international journals. Her presentation covered journal selection aligned with scope, writing strong titles and abstracts, managing references effectively, and preparing cover letters and reviewer response documents.

The webinar underscored the importance of collaboration between ethical artificial intelligence and academic rigor. Participants gained practical insights that can be directly applied to prepare submission-ready manuscripts and increase their chances of publication in target journals. This event reflects the Graduate School of UNY’s strong commitment to accelerating a culture of high-quality, relevant, and ethical scientific publication.
